The Yoga by Design Foundation transforms lives through the healing practices of yoga, mindfulness and meditation, empowering underserved individuals and populations to live to their highest potential.
YBDF provides yoga, mindfulness, and meditation (YMM) practice — at no cost — to a variety of recipients, including persons with cancer, physical and mental disabilities, at-risk youth, homeless young adults, incarcerated young men, and veterans healing from sexual abuse and PTSD, and others.
Please join us in offering these healing practices to those who truly need, but cannot afford to participate in them!
YBDF Impact: Newest Programs
Mott Middle College
Genessee Intermediate School District
YBDF has been funding a program for middle schoolers at Mott Middle College since February, 2019.
Fortunately, since this picture was taken, the program was able to acquire a mat for each participant.
YBDF partners with the St. Clair Butterfly Foundation to provide weekly yoga classes for students at Wilkinson Middle School and Madison Elementary School in Madison Heights. The YBDF program has supported community growth and an overall supportive environment.
Beginning in July 2018, YBDF has supported Vista Maria, in their mission to deliver innovative care, support, treatment and education to vulnerable youth, so that they heal, believe in their worth, and build the skills needed to succeed. Yoga practice gives youth the tools they need to thrive.
